Helping grow service design leadership capabilities for business and design teams.

The principles and practice of service design continue to evolve at pace. Competitive markets and emerging technologies driving innovation provide service designers and managers significant opportunities and challenges as they support the generation of new customer value through service ecosystems.

In this module we will address the following themes…

  • How can the business opportunities and challenges be exploited to establish service design leadership in organisations, markets, and service design teams?
  • How can service design teams better understand and integrate with the business to help drive service innovation?
  • What do design managers need to consider when introducing service design capabilities into organisations?
  • What are the competencies and practices that design managers need to develop in order to succeed?
  • What are the fundamental mindsets and factors needed to drive service design success.

Every PARK Academy module contains fantastic case studies, practical tools, targeted learning goals and assignments that are directly applicable to daily work. Between the two ½-day sessions, attendees will also schedule an individual coaching session with the module tutor.

About the Tutor

This course is designed and delivered by Brian Gillespie. Brian applies his extensive experience in the strategic design and management of digital products and services with business and design teams from a diverse range of global organisations, including Audi, Philips, Vanguard, Adidas, Fidelity and JP Morgan Chase. Brian holds an MBA in Design Management and serves on the leadership team of the Service Design Network.
